At first it was difficult to understant the andalucian accent, as they speak very quickly and cut the words in half. I joined a theatre group and it was the best way to integrate with local students and at the end of the year I had no problems in communication.

It was amazing. I learned more in four months of living with my host family and studying in school than I did in four years of language instruction in my home country. Now I work in a bi-lingual job due completely to the language skills I acquire abroad.

I was a graduate student and finished my Master's of Spanish in Cordoba. I wanted to perfect my Spanish and a times itwas a it difficult because andaluz (the dialect in Andalucia) is different than standard castellano, but quite beautiful and joyous.
