Personal comments
i lived with a spanish, a french and a german girl. so i spoke pretty much german, wich isn´t really helpfull for learning spanish, but otherwise, it can help you if you feel disappointed or sad, just to talk with someone in your language. like for everything in the world, there are advantages and disadvantages in living with a student from your country. but what is absolutely necesary is living with someone from the host-country: it helped me a lot!!

Unprofessional and really low level of English
Matilde R
Italy, Undergraduate
, 2022
Overall
I am really disappointed with University CEU San Pablo. I came from Italy to Madrid just because I thought I'd found the right career for me. The "Digital Communication" degree taught in English really caught my eyes that time, and it also matched with my interest to pursue my studies in this language. It has been only 3 weeks that I'm going to class and I have already decided to withdraw from the major. The level of English of the professors is really low and shaming, sometimes I can't even understand what they are saying. I honestly speak way better than them and I lived in the United States for only 9 months. I won't pay that amount of money for something is not worth it for me, and I really don't understand how students could become professional in whatever career they're pursuing whether the professors don't even know how to properly express themselves. This is really unprofessional and frustrating for me since I have already spent a lot of money to come here and it wasn't worth it AT ALL.

It is the Spanish Hard-On-Welcome. Might seem frightening the first time, but you'll end up loving it

Traveling from Madrid is easy, because its in the center of Spain; Toledo, Segovia, Chinchon, Aranjuez, El Escorial, Alcala are musts..but its nice to go to Portugal as well. Always remember to be open to anything that might come your way!!

Personal comments
If going again, I would certainly choose another University. My experience was, that nobody liked the idea to have international students in this university. They didn´t organize any activity, not even an welcome or information assembly. If you want to know the results of your exams you have to search the whole university building. Depending on the teacher and the students there were some few courses where I felt welcome but also a lot where I felt like nobody wanted me to be there.
