“4 años de música clásica”
Lorena P
Spain,
Music and Musicology, 2022
Overall

Housing
Type of housing: A room exchange
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I stayed at a small town near the university campus; living in Barcelona would have been much better and the price, surprisingly, about the same.

Personal comments
It's quite easy to get a room near the university campus: you see many advertising in the walls and in the internet page too

Don't study to much - you can do at home. Go into the city, into nightlife! Use the possibileties of a big city to make volunteer and get practical experience.

I wish I had known...
That here in Barcelona they speak Catalan and up to the point of making this language obligatory for all students to learn.

Don´t be surprised if they are a bit aloof, that´s one of the traits of Spanish people. They don´t generally get friendly at the first time you meet them. try to impress them by saying things in Spanish, they will love for it.
