Personal recommendation
Because this university is organised in faculties, you will be able to choose courses from other fields of study than the one you follow at home. so please, take the chance to choose some courses of history (spain one for example!), arts, languages, etc..
Moreover, just be cool, like the Spanish students who start to learn one week before their exams!

It's a little bit outside of Madrid, so if you live in the center like I do, it takes time to get to class (45 min-1 hour), but at least the campus has trees!!!!

I think this kind of international experience is always worthwhile - in many ways!
If you want to improve your Spanish, USE IT even though at first you wouldn't express yourself too fluently.
