plenty in madrid. the area around tribunal metro and malasaña is very student and good for cheap drinks. also there are the fancy/expensive clubs like pacha if that is more your thing

The disco's you find next to Puerto del sol are amazing but they are of course very touristic AND expensive. It is ok for those who have money and to go out in those places once a week. (Capital, el Sol, Pacha, Palacio, ...). Then you have a lot of bars near Puerto del sol. And for the 'chocolate' you have to go to chueco and surroundings. Young students you can find in Moncloa but it is not the atmosphere i preferred.

Me gustaría reflejar la gratitud que siento hacia la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, en especial al departamento de matemáticas. Destaca la atención del profesorado y sus ganas de escuchar a los alumnos. También es fantástica la manera en la que está distribuida el grado y el contenido de las asignaturas. Y, por último, el campus de la universidad es de lo más agradable y cómodo.

Final comments
the erasmus travels are real fun and not very expensive (the only thing is, you might have to wait a long time because students are not too punctional). Start travelling early, because time is short.

It wasn't easy to get in contact with spanish students but nertheless I think that I improved my spanish by talking to other foreign students in spanish and just by living in spain.
