Overall

I wish I had known...

I wish I had known that China really isnt as scary as the guide books make it out to be.In fact it is the friendliest country. If I had known that I would have definately chosen a better location to study, somewhere further west, away from major cities.

In my opinion:

I loved it but I'm not sure everybody would.

Personal recommendation

This University specialises in providing tuition for groups of foreigners. If you are travelling alone, as I did, I would suggest going somewhere else. Although the teaching is of a high standard, you can end up in a class with only three people, as I did. So if you are after a more social experience, I would consider going somewhere else. If its just study you want, then go for it.

Final comments

I had two bit of advice. If you are considering studying in China, consider going to places in remote locations, in that way you can really experience the culture. Otherwise, Chinese cities are very much like other cities in the world, and are not much of a challenge really. The second thing I would suggest, is that if you are going to anywhere in China, consider bringing some english reading material, because you will not find much in China.
