It pays to apply for accommodation EARLY in advance. The accommodation problem in Munich is very serious and if you go there without any accommodation, you might have to pay a lot for last minute accommodation.

TUM is very well-known, I expected more before starting m,y master program there. But I would say the quality of the courses depends on the department. If it is a good department in the university, it may satisfy you. But if not, am not sure.
