Valoración globalI study computer science, so my view is based on the informatics department.
TUM is known as one of the best universities world wide for informatics which I can only confirm. The level of studies and the requirements are very high, you notice that they strive towards challenging their students. However, I like that TUM is not bragging about it, there is little advertisement (such as some American universities do) and also professors, tutors etc are quite neutral. The campus (informatics/mathematics building Garching) is modern with great architecture, to me it feels even futuristic.

Facilities need to be upgraded especially in the area of internet connectivity. The external environment needs to be spruce up as well especially the lighting at night.

Basic German is a definite must to survive there. It is quite interesting to talk to locals and to find out their special customs. When I speak German to locals, they are pretty impressed with me and they are more friendly.

there are many residences. It depends on which one you live. The new ones are pretty far and the ones in center are old and smaller, but cheaper
