I love the residence. I stayed in residencias numero 6, which were practically just across the street from school, and relatively close to downtown and all the night life.

I strongly recommend you to do some sport at the university. There is a plenty of different activities!! Places I think everyone should see are Grutas de Garcia, and for typical mexican "fiestas" you should go to Far West and see Palenque :)

Some of the mexican students didn't want to speak spanish with international students-they wanted to improve thier english language skills. It was annoying.. So you need to find real friend, so that they help you in improving your spanish!

The apartments offer more utility (kitchen, living room,laundry)and are generally cheaper than residences. More flexibility in rules.

Living in residence was a great experience. The cost was a bit high, but was right on campus and the rooms were kept very clean. There was a good pool and lounge area.
