In Södermalm you can find a great atmosphere, nice places and shops, cool pubs. Nowadays it is a very trendy area of Stockholm. Do not miss Mosebacke, it has a theatre, several pubs, and a great terrace with a fantastic view. Very Bohemian.

OverallMy thesis supervisor in the Department of Asian, Middle Eastern and Turkish Studies at SU sabbotaged my research and stole portions of my methodology to publish his own work.
The faculty never fact checked my department's statements and so got away with it internally, but I'm taking the university to court.

There's no pro to dedicated two yours of your life to have your advisor sabotage your career and steal from you.
Cons
Uppsala is a better university.
