Housing
Type of housing: Bostock House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Bostock House
Why?
It's great to be all together with the other Eramsus students in one building, all though sometimes the lack of basic facilities can be hard.

Personal comments
The warden isn't the nicest person, and sometimes the other inhabitants of the building can be a pain in the neck. If you manage to keep your head cool (and don't start thinking you live in the Big Brother house) you'll be fine.

Personal comments
The rooms weren't really big, and it was not so clean, but it wasn't expensive and the athmosphere was really good and it was only a five minute walk from school, and not expensive. It was the best choice we had and I really liked it

The Bot and the Egg where good disco's. Robinsons was a very good pub in the city centre. For Saint Patrick's Day, it isn't really that big in Belfast, you'd better go to Dublin. But you have to book a room way in advance! And it is quite expensive over there, you'd better know people living over there...

because some things are more expensive (food)and others you use a lot more than at home: phonecalls to your parents and friends, you go out more and it is more expensive and you want to see the country so you travel a lot, something you normally don't do so often in your own country.

I don't think i learned a lot new words, but i'm not afraid aznymore to talk a different language than my own, and it was nice to learn new ways to express yourself. Everybody said my english was ok and they were patient and helpfull if I didn't know a word or made a mistake.

Overall
I wish I had known...
Usually they say that it's very cold and rainy in Ireland, but that's not true. So you don't need your warmest and biggest jumpers there. Sometimes it van be really warm and nice. So bring some shirts, too ( and a few short skirts and tops for going out).

If you ever go to Belfast, I would recommend to travel around the whole Island. The most beautiful places are in the south west though.
