I Really enjoyed my experience with a family, very simple daily rituals. But I also enjoyed the freedom a Dorm room offers.

Shanghai was just coming into the 20th century when I was there. We use to hit the popular western hotels for nightlife.

Final comments
Hong Kong is a blast, and when you are on Mainland it is like going to Disneyland to visit HOng Kong for a few western fixes!
