Heidelberg is THE University town in Germany (or anywhere else probably). Even though the city is quite small, it has an unmatched international atmosphere due to the world famous Heidelberg University, the NATO and US Army Headquarters and of course the Schiller students. The Untere Neckarstrasse is a nice place with lots of bars and restaurants, even though most Schiler students prefer the nightclubs in town or in Mannheim/Frankfurt

The dorms in general were okay, I stayed at the dorms for one semester and have many friends who lived there a lot longer. Some of them are not that clean but that is mostly up to the students who make the mess and don't clean it up

Ziegler's was the hot spot at the time! Zum schwarzen Walfisch had an awesome breakfast starting really early. O'Reilly's was the hang out for a night of talking and flirting. Cafe Journal on haupstrasse was a great place for a tasty lunch or dinner.
