Family
Other sources of funding:
A private grant
Work opportunities:
I worked, but it was illegal/cash in hand work
Personal spending habits
I spend less at home because access to activities such as traveling and nightlife is limited, and the food and other such things were a new experience where I was studying, hence more money was spent.

Final comments
Remember to be open minded, and that you're in a new environment from home. Don't compare your home country to your host country, and of course have fun!

Just hanging out an English Pub, or discovering a new restaurant was great. It was also fun to explore the various clubs London has to offer.
