graduate accommodation is quite bad at the university and although there is alot of housing stock in the town - you have to be very careful where you choose to live - for security reasons if nothing else

Personal recommendation
It is OK for a short time and on certain courses - I wouldn't recommend it for post-graduate study in general and avoid the Politics and International Studies Dept whatever you do, in the end I had a very bad experience there and it wouldn't have happened in a university in Europe or the US!
