I would not have to cope with the noises and dirtyness of the others, as well as I would have an own toilet and kitchen for me.

I enjoyed very much being in my hall of residence, just the amount of people in one etage were too many..20 all in all, which led to a more distant relation between us and we only tell each others "hi", and "how are u?" most of the time.

OverallI spent an Erasmus year in Bonn and it was a mixed experience. Academically, it was largely a waste of time as I had very few courses and the few I did have were often unrelated to my studies at home.

This university is perfect for those who want to study science, mathematics, biology etc.

British students will be disappointed by the libraries, computing facilities and lack of contact to staff. But while the facilities are not as good, you have a lot more freedom to do what you like and the workload is much lighter.
