Personal comments
The accommodation with a family was nice. The area was quiet and peaceful. I could sleep every night if I wanted to. Living with a family would have been more fun if there had been people closer to my age.

loans are not expensive at all compared to paris :-) and you can go in a nightclub for less than 10 DM. Concerning the telephone, you have to pay deutsche telekom only for the line, but you can choose a chepar provider for the communications.

The local language was a bit of a challange that would be won. The course is to be delivered in english but a lot of the hand outs were in the local language(german). This motivated you to learn the language faster.
