Due tot he fact that most locals do not speak free English it was quite hard at the very first days to adopt to the place and settle down. Though almost all of the Russians are openedhearted and ready to help in any situation.

Concerning university live the language spoken was english apart from the the Russian course we had. Outside university and student dorm life I had the opportunity through my friends from the church to pratice and imporve my Russian language skills. Thanks to my brothers and sisters!

My Russian improved significantly with the help of constant interaction with local students. Classes in English did not add much to my language abilities. They were OK.
