I had my own space, the appartement was nice and I lived together with US-Americans what made me get to know their cultural background, their habits and I could improve my language skills.

For me it was no problem to talk or express myself in English either inside or outside class! What I had to get used to was the "Southern Slang" as well as my roomies' slang who were all African American! But I learned a lot and had a rellay great time with them as well as in class and with the other exchange students. I definiteley improved my language skills.

I stayed in Alexander Hall and it's great because there is both americans and internationals living there. People are very friendly and you never get bored!

Language spoken in NC and language spoken on NCSU is probably most understandable english trought the country (exception are rednecks - class quite underrepresented in academia, but overrepresented among hunters and farmers).
