NWSA bridges the gap between the classroom and the performance world by affording each student opportunities to develop through immediate interaction with an accessible artistic community. As part of the Miami-Dade Community College, the NWSA was created as a Center of Excellence in the performing and visual arts by the Florida Legislature in 1984, NWSA prepares students for professional careers in dance, music, theater and visual arts.
