Personal spending habits
Night life and alcohol in Norway are really expensive, but for non drinkers like me water is available, cold and free!! Housing and food are expensive compared to Spain, but buying together with other people lowers the cost a lot...and allows better meals to be prepared!!

Food, Housing, Travel, Overall:
was more expensive than at home.
Telephone, Nightlife:
was the same price as at home.
Accessibility of student needs
Second-hand household items
Personal comments
Credit and debit cards from home worked sometimes, at university without problems, but in some cash dispensers problems appeared. Check with your bank the highest amount you can get with a card, to minimize the cost of it. Almost no offices of foreign banks.

Languages
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't.
How much did you improve your English?
My level before: At ease in most situations
My level after: At ease in most situations
Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
I had in mind that, though lectures and works would be in English, I wouldn't learn much. I was wrong, since I improved in some ways, regarding vocabulary for instance but mostly in my general understanding of English.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Share a house with local students
Why?
As an exchange student, it is very easy NOT to get acquainted to locals (only to other exchange students).

Personal comments
It's fun, it's nice, but it is not an authentic live-in-Norway-experience. The campus is a world in itself.
