English was the first language which is also mine so it was EASY!! You have to get to know the slang terms though because they can sometimes throw you off!!

The halls of residnece at Monash are great, close to school, good atmosphere, lots of activites, but there is no privacy and you are a long way from the city

Closer to the city. There's not much to do in Clayton.

I wish I knew more about what I was getting into. If I had, I probably would have looked more seriously into getting an apartment in the city.

Not much difficulty in communicating except for the difference in accents with the locals, as I speak Engligh most of the time anyways.
