Telephone is very expensive in germany - i sugest a pre payd card!!!
In portugal i lived withmy parents so i didnt need to pay anything. But the price i payed was ok, not expensive at all.
Overall i spent more money because i went out a lot more!

Best cafe and restaurant near the LMU is CafeAnDerUni (CADU). Reasonable prises and good food. If you come to Munich, don't miss Oktoberfest, the craziest festival in the world. If you really like to dance, go to KunstparkOst, but the funniest disco in the city must be SoulCity...

New friends and new city: Nightlife!! Also lunch or dinner in a restaurant was much more usual abroad than back home.
Short distances to see Europe: Travel!!
Expensive calls to Finland was the reason, why telephone bills were a lot smaller than back home!
Food is quite the same price as back home.
