there should be more information about the things you have to do when you arrive, in case you can't meet your peer student and all the different registrations that you have to make for academic studies

I had a lot of fun, met new people. Swedish people are very friendly, but I was not easy to find good friends amoung Swedes because the erasmus network is very big, and a lot of exchange students are always together. Well it is up to you, I am improving my swedish everyday and I am trying to find a balance between beeing with erasmus students and with the Swedish students. To finish, I really recommand to go abroad, and Linkoping is a very good choice, I feel like a real student :-) so don t hesitate, just do it, you won t regret it, and if you do I will take the responsablity.

Travels by plane can be extremly cheap with stand-by ticket system within Sweden - 25$ for such a ticket sounds nice(you must be <25). Also you will get 20% lower price for train tickets if you book the in less then 24h to departure with "sista minuten" via internet. By a bike for travels within city you'll live - public trafic is extremally expansive. And ALWAYS lock your bike or you will have it only in your memory.

If you have time buy an "interail pass". It's a train ticket with which you can use as much as you want the train. There is plenty of things to visit. For those who wanna work, Hergar'n (campus) and Nationarnahaus employ many students. It's not really well payed, but still.

In terms of travelling, Swedish trains are amazing. Other than this, often it can be cheaper to rent a car.

try to communicate with swedish people, don't wait for them to start talking to you because maybe they won't, in the beginning. but afterwards you can make very verygood friends!
