Well... they are not the best places in the world but there is really no other choice. Friday nights, Iltatähti is the place to be (near university) as most students are there. Saturdays you must go downtown to either Cannibals or Nite Train, but like i said the venues are not the best. If you are here during the autumn semester, DO NOT MISS FINNHITS PARTY, it is the BEST.

If you follow the path developed for exchange students there is no language problems at all- all international officers in the university speak English and you do not need to communicate with anyone, who doesn't. If you will choose more to live not only being an exchange student, then Finnish language text-book will become your everyday friend.

If there is an event announced which is happening in Lappeenranta (not inside university), e.g. some band is coming, or birthday of the town is celebrated, and you are hesitating whether to visit it or not - choose TO VISIT, because the next one can happen only in a year :) Joke, of course, but describes well the situation.

We were very warmly met by tutor, who helped us to solve all important issues. Tutor and office were helping eagerly with all our questions and difficulties. We had several welcoming events, where we were told about Lappeenranta University of Technology, student's life there, Finnish culture.
No i think i had problems like always in your life but everything was so gourgeus and perfect. Maybe the price of food.

Everything was nice, the most important is the possibility to travel to countries that normally you are not going to travel to, if you live in Spain. Like Russia, Estonia, Sweden etc...
