I am rather critical concerning the Italian study system that is entirely based on oral exams at the end of each semester. I prefer the "American" study approach of my home university (small groups, presentations, case studies, term papers, participation grades etc)
Otherwise, LUISS is a GREAT place to study!

Be prepared for a long day at the campus. Sometimes, lectures are arranged one after another and you can end up spending around 10-12 hours a day there.

Travel tip: buy a monthly bus card, as it will be cheaper and very often conductors are checking you for a ticket and if you do not have one, you get a big fine.

I like to share my accomodation with people I know, so an apartment with my student collegues of work collegues is perfect.

The communication between professors and students is good, while the overall academic atmosphere very hyrarchical. Communication for me was not a problem, as I lived with Italians and already had some good knowledge before coming to Italy. I belive, this is an important precondition for having a good time at LUISS. You have to study lots of literature and could get stressed without a certain fluency of academic Italian.
