Try to learn at least a bit of italian, it really helps to fit better inside the university (just few italian students speak fluent english) and in the social life of the town.

Milano Malpensa airport is quite near from the University (15 min by train), from there you can reach the main european destinations trough easyjet.

Go to Switzerland! it was an amazing experience. I went to Interlaken and Bern. 4hrs from Milan to Interlaken. Check out funny farm.
Rome is amazing. You need a week to take it all in though. I was there just for a weekend.
Munich in October. Go to the october festival. It is a cultural shock.

Save plenty of money before travelling. Pick up a pay as you go sim card when you arrive, cheaper than using university or public phones. A laptop if you can is helpful for studying although it is easy to borrow one from fellow students.

Maybe it would be better to come to this university in the summer semester because the subject ofert is wider and the weather is much better.

Valoración globalLife at LIUC has been stimulating since the very beginning. I attended my bachelor in another University, where the focus was just on the books and on the absorbing of the contenent.
At LIUC I studied hard, but I was stimulated by the case studies and projects we had to develop. Obviously, we worked in international teams, where the culture, the knowledge and the perspectives of all were able to create value.
