Make sure to do the basics - work out cheapest bus passes, free days at museums etc. If you're staying for more than 2 months and especially if over the summer - buy a second hand bike. It's the best way to see the city. Also, make sure you have lights at nice - or else you'll get fined.

Head to supermarkets like Aldi, Netto and Fakta. Avoid the big ones. A coffee in the city will set you back a lot- try heading out of town a bit to find the smaller, cheaper places.
