I had wonderful Japanese language teachers. I had lectures everyday in Spoken Japanese and Reading and Writing.

Japanese classes are great and challenging. There are Japanese students in the English electives too, but most of the time they don't really talk or participate. School staff are generally proficient in English but most people outside of the campus environment don't speak any English at all.

I started with no Japanese so it was harder for me to give up English and use Japanese. Indeed, the Kansai Gaidai system offers many English crutches, so don't worry about that.
