Overall
The campus looks clean and lively but the equipments are a bit old, such as PCs and projectors.
They have attractive study abroad programs, but there’s some discrepancies between their explanation before entrance and the reality.
Students would assume they can study in universities all over the world, but actually it’s just the USA and Asian countries, which is the reason I went to  in Norway by my own.

The best way to learn a language is by talking with real native Japanese friends. Being all day at school doenst makes you any better. You will only spend one day one hour Japanese with more than 10 students! I would say try to find a parttimejob where you will be in a Japanese environment and hangout with Japanese peopel as much as you can. You come to Japan all the way to learn the language right? So dont hang out too much with English speaking friends. I would say live in a homestayfamily and have many Japanese friends. Just be kakkooi

I wish I had known...
I didn't know I would enjoy it as much as I did. Hirakata is really the perfect location -- between Osaka, Nara & Kyoto, and Kobe isn't far.

Personal recommendation
I recommend it. The school is small, so the staff knows everyone personally. It is not a very prestigious school, but because of that the students aren't as snobby (compared to what I've heard at other places).

Please go with an open mind. There were some people who were searching for McDonald's on their 3rd day in the country.

This university has to do more activities to get to known eachother. Yuo will only get teh chance to get to know eachother in teh beginning of the week. Also more cultural trips would be fun.

learn the language and try to eat everything. Japanese food is great. The most important is to have some Japanese friends and they will show you the REAL Japan?

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Leaving at the university dorms is only good for perhaps the first months to make friends and get used to the city, but if you stay a 2nd semester, it is much better to find yourself an apartment. You can find cheaper than the dorm, much closer to the uni... the dorms are actually a bit far.. and you can finally have privacy as you cannot even invite friends at the dorm without registering them, etc.. it is basically like a nice clean little prison.

Like I mentioned before, get yourself an apartment as soon as possible, just way better.

Get the heck out of Hirakata City... Osaka and Kyoto are close by, and have plenty to keep you occupied. Kobe is a little bit farther but is worth the trip!
