Academic
Course recommendations
I found the courses very challenging compared to my home University but I guess I thrive on a challenge.

It is a great university! They have everything available. It is not crowded and the lectures are good. The level of education for international students is lower compared to my university. But don't worry you won't learn a lot. You will!

Languages
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't.
How much did you improve your English?
My level before: No problems in any areas (including slang)
My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang)
Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
To my knowledge, the Jonkoping university is the only Swedish university where English is the language of instruction. Doing your daily business in the university should not be problem if you speak it and administrational problems are easily solved. But also outside the university community you will be understood. Even bus drivers and cashiers in the supermarkets speak it. (Swedish TV ist partly in English so if you are a TV junkie you won't miss your favourite leisure activity.)
