I wish I had known...
Italy in the summer has more tourists than you could possibly imagine. The Italians don't like them and things can get a bit expensive. The Sistine Chapel was closed the Sunday I went.

Final comments
Italy is a cultural Meccah. Go and see everything there is. The nightlife in Florence isn't really that fun.

I loved my experience so much that I want to go back and work there after I graduate. I am working on improving my spoken Italian skills as well.
