Before the exchange program I was ok with both languages - English and German. But afterwards my Enlgish improved very much, and also my German improved. It was a little bit funny, that although I was living for 4 months in Germany, I spoke a great deal more English than German. The reason for this was, that at the university most students were international students, so they spoke hardly any German - so the common language was after all English.

I chose this university because of its instruction in English, but i did not improve my German language skills, which i regret a little bit. But i did increase my academical vocabulary in English and had no problems communicating outside the university (shops, caffes and etc.).
