I went to Ireland with an intermediate level but I hardly understood the common lenguage. I could readed it and understand it, but I couldn't speak properly or understand english at the oral.

Travel tips: rent a car and go everywhere. Northern Ireland is a place to see as the republic.
Beaches near Tralee
Dingle, the rainbow hostel is a good and cheap place to be, being Dingle especially in june-july a beautiful spot to be (getting in touch with local inhabitants).

For me was very different, but I learnt how to enjoy it. Many people problem was that they were comparing Tralee with their home university all the time, and that is impossible, because it is just different.

Final comments
Travelling was one of my best experiences. Ireland is a marvellous country full of little corners to discover. Irish people are easy going in general, but although they are very nice and helpful, they dont talk to other at first stage.

With other Erasmus was good because in 2-3 weeks you understand them. The problem is with some irish people who spoke very close but they help you to be understood
