Waynes & MaNolans are great for live music, McMahons bar have good student nights, Cours Saleya is amazing for eating out, Nice Canivale is great in February and it is easy to go skiing at the weekends as ski passes are available to buy at the Gare.

As I studied through the medium of English I did not feel great pressure in the university. This gave me the opportunity to spend more free time with local students and residents of the city where my language skills accelerated considerably.

I believe I spent more as I was so keen to try out everything new. For instance, travelling around and seeing the the host country was important to me. Also socialising and getting to know new people was essential.
