I really liked this university, I had classes with only American students, but there were plenty of opportunities to meet french, and other european students.

Expatriation en Chine en 3ième année
Damien P
France, Graduate
Marketing and Sales Management, 2020
Overall

Aleksandra C
France, Undergraduate
Marketing and Sales Management, 2020
Overall

Expenses
Main source of funding:
Family
Other sources of funding:
Family
Personal savings
An ERASMUS grant
Work opportunities:
I worked during my study abroad experience
Personal spending habits
Housing was less expensive which is why I spent less than in Ireland. I spent less on nightlife as there was more of a "drinking at home prior to going out" and "house party" culture, which is cheaper than in bars. I travelled more than I do in Ireland due to the fact that I was in central Europe and travel was more feasible.

Personal comments
In terms of cost saving tip 1. take turns cooking and eat with your housemates. It is cheaper to make enough for three people of one dish than to make 3 seperate dishes. 2. Arrange to meet groups of friends and bring a bottle of wine prior to going out. Alcohol in supermarkets is very cheap, while it is very expensive in bars.

There are many nice cafes and restaurants along the cours saleya in the old town and along rue massena closer to the high street. Most of the nice pubs and bars can be found in the old town. Places like Wayne's, MacMahon's and Thor are very popular with foreigners. Locals prefer more French places such as the l'escalier and les trois diables. The l'ambassade, le club and dizzy are nice clubs with a great atmosphere. The beach and the promenade are great places for outdoor sports like rollerblading, jogging, swimming, volleyball etc. There are many events in Nice all year round. One not to miss is His Majesty's Carnival in February with its massive parades, bonfires and fireworks.
