It is so much better than on campus, you are generally right in the heart of things, whereas on campus you are out on a limb.

"La Comtesse" is a nice pub, many nice cafes in the St. Pierre area, "Au chat qui pèche" is a very good jazz club, but you have to affiliate and pay an annual contribution
