I wish I had known...
No not really. I find the best way for me to deal with a new adventure/experience is to jump into it and deal with it as it goes. I felt I had enough basic knowledge and information with me to deal with whatever had to be dealt with.

I would not do the dual degree program and am still glad I didn't. The school offers more social and experience value rather than academic in my opinion. Joining the E4U student organization there and going to their functions is a great way to meet new international students. The acadmic life there is pretty much a bummer in my opinion. It just doesn't fit well with me I guess. But overall the school is still a good time if you can stop stressing about academics and enjoy yourself a bit. Afterall, this experience is not just about what you learn in school.

I would have liked to be informed by the Spanish way of LEARNING. It is like memorizing and has nothing in common with applying your knowledge.

to place more student activities so that Spanish and International students can get more in touch with each other.

To study at ICADE was a good experience because it wasn't only sun and fun as most of the people expect if you tell them that you've studied in Spain. It was more like learning self-discipline, hard working and not very much free time. But nevertheless the Spanish people know how to live. And I am very thankfull for making this experience. After half of a year hating Spain, in the left 1,5 years I got to know how to love it.

Since it is a private university all administrative things are easy to be handled. Just go there, they will tell you everything...

When going to Spain I'd recommend going to Andalusia (Sevilla, Córdoba, Marbella, Granada, Cádiz), Barcelona, and the North!! (San Sebastian, Santander); For Madrid I'd recommend testing different bars - go to different Museums - Madrid has to offer so many different things, it's incredible!

How few facilities were available to students in ICADE, regarding student clubs/societies etc. There was a very limited selection of things you could do and they were generally more expensive than the equivalent at home.

The standard of tuition is very good but some lecturers seem to prefer not to have foreign students in their classes. It's very well located in the centre of Madrid, so if you live nearby you'll be close to everything. I'm glad I chose it.

Take advantage of every travel opportunity that presents itself! Book accommodation in advance for Las Fallas in Valencia. Don't assume it won't be cold in winter: it will, and it rains a lot more than you would expect.
