I mostly improve my Spanish thanks to the acquaintances I made going out with other international students. It was to difficult to talk and interact with the local students who were to busy with their studies!

You must visit Spain because each part is very interesting to see. Concerning courses, most lessons have to be learnt by heart

Go and study really hard when you have to. Studying at ICADE is not a joke, you will really have to study.

Housing
Type of housing: With a family
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: With a family
Why?
It's very good for improving your language skills and you are more exposed to the culture of the country than if you are living with other foreign students.

Personal comments
Don't use a commercial housing agency. It works out much cheaper to stay in a hostel for a few days and go house-hunting. The university also provides lists of rooms and apartments available for rent.

If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Because I enjoy my independency, and I also shared this apartment with Spanish people which was a great cultural experience.

Personal comments
I think it is bad that the university does not help exchange students in finding accommodation. However, I know that it is difficult in Madrid, as there is an overall lack of student accommodation in the whole city.
