Personal spending habits
The supermarkets are all discount shops and the food isn't that exciting.
Telephone was a little bit more expansive because of the regular calls home, and the internet connexion.
Nightlife is very cheap in comparison to france.
All is pretty good organized for students (travel), so there's almost always a way to pay less.

In my experience, everyone that you meet abroad is extremely friendly and open to friendship. Always be sure that you have enough time for your studies, but make the most of your experience, and have fun!
