I stayed on campus for 2 months at the beginning of my first year and it was horrible. Full of drunken 17 year olds running around making noise all night.

Final comments
Renting a car on enterprise is the best way to visit the highland. Go to isle of sky wounderfull landscapes. Very very cheap fly tickets to visit london or amsterdam, it really worth it.

You can expect to get into a lot of bureaucratic hassle, but apart from that it's a nice university with a friendly atmosphere. Edinburgh is a fantastic city!

Final comments
Travel around Scotland, especially the Highlands, and you'll see some of the most beautiful places in the world! Getting elsewhere in Europe is pretty cheap and easy too.

I lived in a family house. I had a large room, shared the bathroom. A French friend from the same home university who was also on the same exchange program stayed at the same family.

During cold hard winter, sipping a good whisky is always a good excuse. For the none alcohol beverages, Kenneils cafe on Victoria street does it very well. Pubs are great. Edinburgh is not really famous for its discos.

In a foreign country you inevitably to go out more often, for social reasons and to discover. I took the opportunity of being in Edinburgh to see more of Scotland.
