The french in Quebec is quite difficult sometimes to understand due to pronounciation but after 1week it is ok.

first it's difficult because of the difference between european and canadian french. but after some weeks no problems anymore

You'll be able to get by speaking english, and there is the opportunity to learn French too. Just make sure you enrol early!

If you speak French learned at school its quite difficult to understand Quebecois as different words and phrases are used.
