Academic
Course recommendations
Teachers often just follow the book nearly word for word, so why go to class? Teachers are not qualified teachers nor are often experts in their fields. Most have no teaching qualifications nor doctorate degrees. They have an open door policy to visit yet will never show concern for students acadmic progress or lot in general.

Personal comments
The 4-6 hour exams worth 100% of the grade are not a good idea. Unfortunately that is the norm in Norway. Having a more spread out evaluation with projects and or papers that are assessed and lessening influence of final exam would be much better. More needs to be done on real life situations rather than just reading the book. This is also a "typical" Norwegian academic problem.

In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
Very relaxed and casual atmosphere at school... and very very clean, modern and safe place. Very pretty scenery. Quiet small town atmosphere. Teachers could have better training! and not use the book so much!! Computer access and internet is 5 star!!! Bring your digital camera and lots of blank CDs!!

Final comments
Stay at Kvam dormitories if you want to just study and be close to school. Stay at Rimo if you want to be sociable and have close access to night life and the town. Rimo is a 15 minute bike ride from school (30 min. walk). All around pretty good. Cold in winter so bring good snow boots, hats and gloves!!
