Final comments
The culture alone is worth travelling to this beautiful country. Although there are some riots and the recent bombing on Bali you should think about a stay in the fascinating country. But do not expect too much regarding an academic progress.

The level of english in indonesia is not the best but it is possible to communicate with almost everybody. The local language is easy to learn. I would recommend everyone to take a language course.

Overall
I wish I had known...
That it really makes sense to take a language course because the language is easy to learn. And locals are willing to talk to you and are impressed by only simple phrases you can say.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I rented a house with three other students. There was a private swimmingpool and a housekeeper. The price of 250€ a person a month is high for Indonesia, but it was definitely worth it! Similar houses are easy to find, but it is also possible to have a nice house without swimmingpool.

Personal comments
The university has its own hotel where you can stay for a long period. This is however not a really pleasant place to stay, and for the same price you can find a nice house. It is an option to stay here the first month, but whereas you can easily find a house in 1-2 weeks you can stay in a hotel as well.
