Expenses
Main source of funding:
Family
Other sources of funding:
An ERASMUS grant
Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options
Personal spending habits
Life standards are far higher in Sweden than in Portugal. One must do a financial effort in order to support himself on scandinavian countries. I felt like most of the foreign students had the same problem.

Food, Telephone, Nightlife, Travel, Overall:

Housing:
was less expensive than at home.
Accessibility of student needs
Second-hand household items
Personal comments
I didn't discover any in 6 months. Anyway, I was able to save a lot of money as my housing fee was entirely supported by the host family (except food, clothing and other primary goods). Food is not that expensive in small supermarkets in the outskirts of the main avenues.

Housing
Type of housing: It was a sort of student campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Olofshöjd, the campus where I lived, was the main student campus, so almost all exchange students lived there - and a lot of normal students too.
The location to the university (30 min walk) was perfect.
