HES Rotterdam, Rotterdam, Netherlands
Economics, Undergraduate, Erasmus
Housing
Type of housing: A room on a sort of campus, nearby the university
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: I prefer living in the same buildig/room
Why?
It was'nt so big but there was just enough space. And because more international and national students live there, it is very easy to make friends and visit each other. It also was very close to university.

Cafe Europa can be very nice although too crowded on saturdays, Irish Pub is also very ok and a good place to spent your night.Disco Livingroom you should visit, nice music and people. There are quite some cafés in the city but the people only go out from thursday till sunday. Also you shouldn't miss the parties given at the university, had so much fun there! Café House of america has Happy Hour on tuesdays, nice day to drink cocktails!!!

Academic
Course recommendations
As an international student, you can choose from a lot of courses. Be careful for courses like VWL and BWL they are very hard and a lot of work. As for the rest, all courses are ok

Did not learn very much of the languagecourse, but through talking with other people. During all lessons the teachers are very nice and ask if it goes to fast and if you copied everything.

Final comments
I had a great time in Bielefeld, make contact with other people because this is quite simple there. If you life near the university, check in at the Bierkeller sometime, a lot of international students are there, music and cheap drinking!! In the weekends, travel by train or rent a car and go and see Cologne, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Hamburg and other cities.
