International students used to meet in a bar called Locus Publicus, but there are plenty of attractive bars and night clubs.

The eleven pub crawl by the Exchange Committee is absolutely amazing. Near the I-HOuse are very good pubs which are good.

Cafe de Beurs to live a dancing wednesday. Thursdays Hollywood can be a good place sometimes. Waterfront and Dissy are the alternative places which I really liked. And of course dormitory rooms were the best places to meet for the parties before going out.

Personal comments
The local language was Dutch, but to learn it was not a goal. The aim was to improve English. Considering DUtch people are bilingual, English was like another local language. My English improved more after 5 months in Holland than after 5 years studying.
