I wish I had known...

That it takes quite a lot of effort to learn a new language. I learnt from zero Spanish when I was seven in Spain and it was much easier.

Final comments

Paris is a good place to spent an exchange year, the grand ecoles have good courses, there's a lot to see in Paris and you have the possibility to meet people from many different back rounds.
