It was pretty good since I already had some experience in the language before going to the university. the interactions with other students (locals) were facilitated by the accomodation on campus and the atmospheere was friendly most of the time.

The parties organized by the "Veto" school were pretty good. the concerts at the Lyon Auditorium are also very good. There are also plenty of good restaurants in the old Lyon. Don't miss the Australian bar either.

The location of the university is good in terms of places to travel around, but locally it's better to have a car if one wants to live in the City.
