Paris offers a wide variation of things to do at night. There are quit some nice places with a lot of bars, like Bastille or San Michel. Going to clubs is better during the week than in the weekend, certainly for foreign students. In the weekend it can be very expensive, but during the week there are quite some clubs like Duplex, Queen and Mix which organize erasmus parties, for which foreign students have free acces before a certain time.

The costs were quit high, but thats typically Paris. The rooms were good. There was enough space and i even had my own kitchen and bathroom. I only found it a pitty that it was not really in the center. But besides that I really had a good stay there, also because all the other exchange students were in the same building.

Studying in Paris was for me a great experience. I learned a lot, not only at school, also outside. At such an exchange program you will meet a lot of international students from all over the world. If you want to learn the language don't hesitate to get in contact with the french students. They might seem closed at the beginning. But in fact, many of them have been abroad them selves, at least that was the case in my group. They were very open minded. So I only recommend to be open minded as well. Furthermore, Paris is a great city to live in. It has a lot of culture and the night life is also very nice.

Back in september when I arrived my french was worse then I thought. I always liked the language, and in Holland I normally got good grades. But now, ten months later, I do see improvement. With the french students I speak more french. I also notice during the courses that I understand the teacher much better. Only when I have to arrange administratative things, I find it still quit hard.
